I left my corporate consulting job to chase the founder dream.
Hi all,
I recently left my cozy corporate consulting job to chase the founder dream.
My goal? Creating a sustainable income with flexible hours.
My dream is to build profitable and scalable businesses. Businesses that solve REAL problems in the world (and not sell some report for $500k). Businesses built by small, impactful teams.
I don’t believe in focusing all your attention on just 1 idea when starting out. I believe in testing and validating many ideas and picking winning ones. There has never been a better time to do this. With the tools today you can do this amazingly fast with little effort.
This is the data-driven way to build and grow businesses.
Test ideas -> gather data -> do more of what works -> do less of what doesn't work.
The idea I’m currently validating is a data dashboard creation agency for B2B SaaS companies.
Why? Because it sits within my unfair advantage:
I have 4+ years of experience in data science.
I have been obsessed with tech since I was young.
I have an affinity for solving business problems.
Many SaaS businesses are bootstrapped. This leads to them using a lot of prebuilt tools to reduce costs.
The result?
A big mess of data in different places that takes a long time to analyze.
I will help them to create one overview where they can see all their important metrics in a single glance. Actionable insights tailored to their decision-making process.
Anyways, this is the landing page: www.dashboards.agency
I think dashboards are a great way to introduce people to the large benefits data can bring. It is tangible, understandable, and solves a pain for businesses.
As I described before, I’m still validating. Putting this out will help me to get the conversation going. If businesses are not interested, I will pivot the idea to solve a different problem and update the website accordingly. Just like a data-driven company should do.
I know there are people on my list that have their own businesses or are looking to start one. I highly advise everyone that wants to start a business to look at your unfair advantage. What are you deeply interested in? What are your experiences? What interests + skills can you combine to create a strong offer that competitors don’t have?
Use data to test and validate your ideas.
The combination of data + business consulting in the tech space is my unfair advantage.
A lot of information here that I initially didn’t plan on writing, but I hope this helps some of you to make the use of data more tangible.
I love to connect with other entrepeneurs. If you want to chat, send me a message 🙂
Btw, I made this website in a couple of hours with very little website development experience using a no-code tool. We have amazing tools at our disposal that offload a lot of extra work. Not that long ago, this would take days if not weeks.
If you enjoyed it, please forward this email to friends who want to know more about data in business.
See you next week!
